Technical features

The kit supplies reagents for Masson Fontana stain to detect argentaffin granules and melanin. Melanin is a brown-black coloures non-lipid and non-hematogenous pigment, normally present in hair, skin, retina and some areas of central nervous system; showed by silver impregnation reaction. Argentaffin granules are present in cacinoid cancers.
